What You'll Be Doing?
Think of this role as the backbone of our passenger experience at Cairo Airport. You'll be the person travelers and your team turn to when things need to run smoothly, efficiently, and with a warm Emirates touch.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Managing check-in, boarding, special services, baggage handling, and our Emirates Lounge—always with safety, security, and service excellence at the forefront.
- Ensuring operational tasks are completed within specific time frames, keeping everything on track for an on-time departure.
- Guiding and advising your team members, helping them uphold our high service standards while contributing to a safe and punctual operation.
- Overseeing the Emirates Chauffeur Drive service, making sure eligible passengers receive their seamless door-to-door experience on arrival and departure.
- Monitoring the baggage hall to ensure priority bags are the first on the carousel, and assisting premium customers with missing or damaged luggage by coordinating with our Ground Handling Agent.
- Keeping a close eye on check-in queues, making sure premium customers and card holders receive priority service.
- Handling any issues that arise during check-in, including excess baggage charges and visa complications.
- Keeping passengers calmly informed during delays, disruptions, or denied boarding situations, including implementing the 'Options' scheme when needed.
- Preparing pre-flight and post-flight documentation, along with station statistics and filing.
- Reporting any aircraft or ULD damage immediately and assisting with the necessary paperwork.
- Stepping in to cover the check-in supervisor during absences, preparing flight briefs so all staff and service providers are aligned.
- Supporting the Emirates Ticket Desk when needed—issuing tickets, EMDs, EBTs, making and amending reservations, recalculating fares, collecting additional payments, verifying credit cards, and completing daily sales returns.
- Occasionally working in the Emirates Lounge, supervising contracted staff and overseeing catering, cleaning, and maintenance to ensure our service standards are fully met.
What You Bring to the Team?
We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in airline ground operations and a natural ability to lead through example.
Essential requirements:
- Minimum O Level or equivalent education.
- Completed professional training in Customer Services and Handling, Ground Operations, Reservations, Fares & Ticketing.
- At least three years of airline industry experience (particularly relevant for our Cairo operation).
- Knowledge of Departure Control Systems and Computerized Reservation Systems.
- A thorough understanding of check-in procedures.
- Strong customer service delivery skills.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
